As part of the series of activities leading to the Peak Celebration of the Silver Jubilee of SMA Swasta Katolik Bintang Laut, the Tree Planting Action was successfully carried out in a meaningful and well-organized manner.
This activity became more significant through the support and presence of various stakeholders who came together to strengthen the spirit of togetherness and to create a positive impact on environmental sustainability.
The school extends its sincere appreciation to UPTD KPH Region XIV Gunungsitoli – Nias for the support and provision of tree seedlings, which are endemic flora of Nias, as a concrete effort to preserve local biodiversity and protect the region’s natural heritage.
The event was attended by the Head of the Environmental Agency, the Board of Trustees of the Santu Fidelis Foundation, the Chairperson of the Foundation and staff, the Senior High School Supervisor of the Regional Education Office Region XIV, the Head of Teluk Dalam Sub-district, the Head of Community Development Unit (Kasat Binmas) and staff, Catholic Education representatives, alumni and parents’ representatives, as well as the Principal, all teachers, and students of SMA Swasta Katolik Bintang Laut.
Throughout the activity, the atmosphere of unity and warmth was enhanced by simple refreshments in the form of a cup of coffee, boiled bananas, and boiled cassava, reflecting the values of simplicity, solidarity, and shared responsibility in caring for the environment.
